Intelbras considers social factors to be an important factor, and so uses all the authorized allocated amounts of taxes for projects approved by laws encouraging State (ICMS) and Federal (Rouanet) culture.

The focus of the company for sponsorships is for projects linked to social responsibility with children, minors in need and the environment, whether through music, sport, prevention, cinema, or theater.

Check out some of the projects in which the company takes part, and for contributions and information see the site or contact address indicated in each project:

Junior Achievement

Intelbras-Junior-Achievement

Intelbras has taken part in Junior Achievement (JA), since its foundation as a maintaining/founder member in 1999. JA is a not-for-profit educative association, maintained by private initiative. The partnership has already benefited students of the schools Francisco Tolentino, EEB Aderbal Ramos da Silva, Colégio Nossa Senhora de Fátima, EBM Vereadora Albertina Krummel Maciel and Colégio Dom Jaime Câmara, in Florianópolis and São José. The youths learn the various aspects of starting a business with professionals of the company, who perform as voluntary instructors.

Planning, costing, marketing, organizing production are all studied. After the guidance of the executives and transfer of knowledge, the young participants learn in practice to develop a project, produce and sell the production which they created. Besides this action, other programs are developed together with JA as the “Shadow-Businessman”, visits of the students to the installations of Intelbras and lectures in schools with the issues “Ethics”, “Advantages of Remaining at School” and “Environment”. You or your company can also be partners in this project.

Environmental Project

Conserve Program: focus upon the management of solid residue

Programa-Preserve-Intelbras

By means of selective collection and suitable destination of the residue generated in the company, the Program contributes to conserving the environment, preventing pollution and reducing the environmental impacts of the processes.

These initiatives led to environmental awards (Max Hablitzel and Fritz Müller Awards), encouraging our coworkers to continue to exercise their activities in an ecologically correct manner.

ETEs (Effluent Treatment Plants)

The use of ETEs in the industrial parks has ultrafiltration membrane technology, and ensures that all the effluent is delivered to the environment in a totally suitable manner.

Reuse of the Rainwater in the restrooms is another example of Intelbras concern with sustainability.

Environmental education makes a difference

Through this activity, our coworkers are able to obtain information to reduce their impact not only in the company, but at home and in the community, which makes Intelbras a modern, aware and competitive company.

Awareness campaigns

Intelbras executes campaigns which encourage aware consumption, environmentally correct recycling of electro-electronic residue and the safe disposal of batteries and vegetable oil used. Every year, there is the SSISMA – Internal Week of Health, Safety and Environment.

If you want to know the partners who integrate these processes, access www.cdisc.org.br.
